Recommendations
The most important concern for CCBUAC is the health and safety of all their employees, vendors and students. Consider the following requests for everyones safety:

Did you know that the number one reason for Apprentice License cancellations is not having Apprentice Daily Records completed correctly in the shop/salon and submitted to your program sponsor?
Please read the following so that you can stay informed and not be another cancellation statistic. -
When must I begin turning in my Apprentice Daily Records?
Apprentice Daily Records must be submitted to Cosmetica your program sponsor the month after beginning employment at the approved establishment. -
How often do I submit Apprentice Daily Records?
Apprentice Daily records must be submitted to Cosmetica your program sponsor the 15 of the following month (ie. the apprentice daily record for August must be completed and turned in no later than the 15 of September) -
Did you know that the most common error Apprentices make when completing timesheets is…
The most common error Apprentices make when completing their Apprentice Daily Records is that they forget to fill out the top portion with their personal and license information completely. -
When must I complete my Apprentice Daily Record for the current month? Apprentice Daily Records must be filled out each and every day.

When does my trainer or the owner of the shop/salon need to sign my Apprentice Daily Record?
Apprentice Daily Records must be signed until the end of the month once the Apprentice Daily Record has been filled out completely. -
Did you know that not having your Apprentice Daily Records both present in the approved place of employment and completed correctly is motive for a fine?
Fines rates can range from $100 to $200. -
Where do I keep my Apprentice Daily Records at the shop/salon?
Apprentice Daily Records must be stored either in the shop/salon’s reception or in the office inside your Apprentice file. -
What if an inspector asks for my Apprentice Daily Records and I left them at home?
You are subject to fines, your program sponsor will be contacted immediately, and you run the risk of having your Apprentice license cancelled. -
What if an inspector asks for my Apprentice Daily Records and my Apprentice Daily Records are empty but signed already?
You are subject to fines, your program sponsor will be contacted immediately, and you run the risk of having your Apprentice license cancelled. -
What if an inspector asks for my Apprentice Daily Records and my employer notifies them that I left the shop months ago and I never completed the Apprentice Daily Records or Requested a transfer?
Apprentices must begin completing their Apprentice Daily records immediately after receiving their Apprentice License. Failure to do so, can make you subject to fines, your program sponsor will be contacted immediately, and you run the risk of having your license cancelled for failing to comply with program Rules and Regulations. Furthermore, any hours accrued after leaving the salon will not count towards program completion. -
Do I keep filling out my Apprentice Daily Records if I completed the 3200 related training hours?If you have completed the 3200 hours before you reach the 21 months you must continue filling out your Apprentice Daily Records until you reach the 21 month mark. However, if you have reached 21 months and have not finished your 3200 hours you must continue working until you do. (If you have questions or concerns please reach out to a Cosmetica Representative for a program completion status update.)

If I have been in the program for 18 months and completed the 3200 hours am I done?
No. Apprentice Daily records must be completed a minimum of 21 months. The 3200 On the Job Training Hours are a minimum of hours required. -
Do I add the 240 RSI hours to my Apprentice Daily records?
Yes. You must add your 240 Related Training Hours in the second portion of highlighted in yellow. -
What if I do not add 240 RSI hours to my Apprentice Daily records?
If you fail to add your 240 Related Training Hours to your Apprentice Daily Records your Daily Record will not be accepted. -
What if I surpass the 240 RSI hours? The apprentice program requires a minimum of 240 Related Training Hours. If you fail to keep track of your Related Training Hours and cover additional Administrative fees, you will not receive a refund as these fees are non-refundable. It is your responsibility to keep track of your RSI hours.

What if I requested a license extension? Do I continue completing the Apprentice Daily Records?
Yes. You must continue completing your Apprentice Daily Records until either your Apprentice License Expires or you quit employment with the establishment under your license. -
What if I already applied for my State Board Exam and my license is still active? Do I continue submitting my Apprentice Daily Records?
Yes. You must continue completing your Apprentice Daily Records until either your Apprentice License Expires or you quit employment with the establishment under your license. -
How many hours can I work?
Begin working at the approved establishment (no less than 32 and no more than 40 hours per week). You must work no more than 8.5 hours per day.
